INTRODUCTION

Felician College is pleased to offer international students the opportunity to come to the United States and study English language and U.S. culture in the summer of 2010. Located only a 20-minute train-ride away from New York City, we are proud of offer our students a wonderful location, personalized education, and the experience abroad of a lifetime.

Felician大學是位於美國的紐澤西洲，距離紐約只要20分鐘的火車車程，所以是體會美東文化非常適合的一個學校。

這此特別推出暑期的行程來滿足同學利用暑假期間到海外學習的需求，更安排完善的行程讓同學一次體驗美東文化。

 

PURPOSE

This program is designed for international students who would like to improve their English language proficiency and gain a global perspective by living and studying in the United States. We offer a combination of intensive language study, off-campus trips, and activities to ensure that every student has a complete cultural experience.

這次的課程特別注重在加強同學的英文語文能力和用文化課程加強同學的國際觀，這樣的行程非常適合同學踏出411的第一步。

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

 Language training will consist of 23 hours of study per week, with classes focusing on reading, writing, grammar,
and speaking/listening, with a selection of elective classes offering topics on U.S. culture and language. Weekends will be devoted to off-campus cultural activities selected to showcase the many different aspects
of U.S. culture offered in the New York City area.

Weekly breakdown:

20 hours of core English classes (grammar, listening/speaking, writing and reading) and
3 hours of culture classes.

Total number of hours: 80 hours of core English classes and 12 hours of culture classes.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• Intensive English language study, 23 hours/week, including culture study electives.
• Accommodations on campus with other Felician College students.
• Included activities (subject to availability and weather permitting):
• Orientation
• Broadway show (百老匯秀)

• Metropolitan Museum of Art (紐約大都會博物館)

• Six Flags Amusement Park (主題樂園)
• Woodbury Commons Shopping Plaza (Outlet大賣場)
• Philadelphia (費城)
• Access to all college facilities

 

PROGRAM DATE

The program will run from July 5 through July 30, 2010.
